For Thickening the Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Mix with water for thickening.
  • 2 tablespoons Water

For Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional but recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions Fresh cilantro can be used.

Instructions

Steps

  • Season chicken thighs with salt and black pepper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, grated ginger, vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs into your slow cooker and pour the prepared sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  • To thicken the sauce, mix cornstarch with water, stir into the sauce, and simmer to desired consistency.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
