  • 1 lb Ground Turkey a lean protein
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil can be substituted with a neutral oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 3 cups Diced Potatoes can substitute sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas can substitute corn or green beans
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika smoked paprika for extra flavor
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • ¼ cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro optional

Instructions

How to Make Ground Turkey with Potatoes

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Crumble ground turkey into the skillet and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Season with ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in diced potatoes, cover the skillet and cook for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until potatoes are tender and golden.
  • Toss in frozen peas and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
  • Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped fresh cilantro.

Notes

This dish can be easily adapted with your favorite vegetables and spices. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 2 months.
