Preparation Steps

  • Blend the soup with an immersion blender until reaching desired consistency.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, sharp cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes until cheese melts and everything is combined.
  • Ladle soup into bowls and top with crumbled bacon, more shredded cheese, and chopped green onions.
