Equipment

  • Microwave
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • fork
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Ingredients

For the Bites

  • 1 can Jellied Cranberry Sauce Use canned varieties for smooth texture
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips Substitute with milk or white chocolate for a different taste
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (optional) Helps to thin the chocolate for smoother dipping

Instructions

How to Make Chocolate Covered Cranberry Sauce Bites

  • Open your can of jellied cranberry sauce and cut it into approximately ½-inch thick discs. You'll get about two full 'ribs' from the can, setting a lovely base for your bites.
  • Arrange the cranberry slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they don’t overlap. Freeze them for at least 30 minutes until they are firm and ready for dipping.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stirring gently, then continue heating in 15-second bursts until the mixture is fully melted and silky smooth.
  • Remove the frozen cranberry slices from the freezer. Use a fork to dip each slice into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated slices back on the baking sheet.
  • Transfer the baking sheet back to the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set and has a nice firm coating.

Notes

Optional: Sprinkle with sea salt before the chocolate sets for an extra flavor boost. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
