Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts

For the Sauce

  • 1 packet Italian Dressing Mix Ranch seasoning can also be used.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Sour cream can be used for a tangy twist.
  • 1 can Golden Mushroom Soup Cream of chicken soup is a suitable alternative.
  • 1 cup Dry White Wine or Chicken Broth Use chicken broth for a non-alcoholic version.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Olive oil can be a lighter alternative.

For Serving

  • 1 pound Angel Hair Pasta Fettuccine or linguine can be swapped in.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
  • Fresh Parsley Optional, for garnish.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese Optional, for garnish.

Directions

  • Layer the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat to avoid browning.
  • Combine the Italian dressing mix, cream cheese, golden mushroom soup, and wine or broth in the saucepan, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, ensuring it's well-coated.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is fork-tender.
  • Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  • Shred or slice the tender chicken and return it to the sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Serve over warm angel hair pasta and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan, if desired.

Notes

For best results, cook on low for 4-5 hours. Keep pasta separate until serving to maintain texture.
