Instructions

How to Make Easy Savory Puff Pastry Christmas Tree

  • In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, cream cheese, feta, Parmesan, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir until everything is creamy and well mixed, creating a flavorful filling.
  • On a piece of parchment paper, lay out one puff pastry sheet. Spread the filling evenly over it, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges. Place a second pastry sheet over the filling carefully.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into a Christmas tree shape—create a triangle for the top and a rectangle for the trunk. Make horizontal cuts from the wider part to the trunk to form branches; twist each cut to showcase them beautifully.
  • Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Generously brush the pastry with egg wash for a golden finish, then sprinkle your choice of seasoning on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until it's beautifully golden brown and puffed.
  • Once out of the oven, let the puff pastry tree cool slightly before slicing it into sections. Serve warm, and watch how quickly it disappears!

Notes

Optional: Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for an aromatic touch. Ensure proper thawing of puff pastry and manage moisture in the filling for best results.
