Cooking Steps

  • Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if desired.
  • Combine Ingredients: Transfer the browned beef to a crockpot, then add diced tomatoes, drained kidney beans, chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic salt, and chili powder. Stir well.
  • Cook: Cover and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Finish: Once done, let the chili rest for 10 minutes before serving.
