For the pastry
- 500 g Puff pastry
- 1 piece Egg For brushing the pastries
For the filling
- 400 g Ground meat (beef, chicken, or pork) Feel free to mix different types of meat.
- 1 piece Onion Chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Parsley Chopped
For serving
- Garlic sauce For serving alongside the pastries.
Cooking the filling
In a skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until transparent.
Add minced garlic and ground meat, then season with salt and pepper. Cook until the meat is fully browned.
Baking
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the sealed pastries on it.
Beat the egg and brush it on top of each pastry. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. To reheat, place in the oven for a few minutes. You can freeze unbaked pastries and bake them directly from frozen.
